Rotherham United report alleged racist abuse of player

ROTHERHAM United have reported alleged racist comments made against one of its players which have been posted on social media.

A statement released by the club said it “takes such allegations very seriously and operates a zero tolerance policy towards any form of discrimination”.

A spokesman said the club had passed information to the police and the club would not comment until after the police investigation.

The comments are understood to have been posted on Facebook and relate to on-loan Chelsea player Izzy Brown, following the club’s 2-1 defeat at Burton Albion on Saturday.

There were also reports of racial abuse at the game itself.
