Rotherham swimmer Eve Doherty aims to turn Rio De Janeiro chance into reality

SWIMMER Eve Doherty has been selected to compete for England in South America — and now she wants to make the dream come true.

Eve (15) has been called up for the ISF World School Games in Rio De Janeiro in August.

The multi-sport event, at the Barra Olympic Park where the 2016 Olympics were held, involves around 36 countries.

In order to get there, each swimmer has to raise £2,750.

Eve swims for City of Sheffield and attends St Bernard's Catholic High School.

She says the call-up is an “incredible opportunity” and the next step along in her dream to become a world class swimmer. She has set up a Go Fund Me Page and would welcome any support.

Eve is also looking for sponsors who would have the opportunity to have their name on her England kit.

The ISF World School Games will be live-streamed around the world and she will tag and promote any sponsors on her social media.
