Ridehalgh joins Millers

ROTHERHAM United have snapped up Huddersfield Town full-back Liam Ridehalgh on an emergency loan deal to ease their injury problems.

Ridehalgh, who spent the first three months of the season at Chesterfield, joins the club until January 12.

Manager Steve Evans said: "It’s no hidden secret that I tried to sign Liam earlier in the season, but for one reason or another we couldn’t get it done at that time. The lad has recently been at Chesterfield where it has to be said he has been outstanding, and when I got news that he was returning to Huddersfield, I moved quickly to bring the boy to New York Stadium.”

Ridehalgh will wear number 33, and the Millers are still awaiting confirmation as to his availability for their FA Cup second round tie with Notts County.
