Revell at the double for Millers

ROTHERHAM United kept their League One promotion bid on track with a 2-1 win at Tranmere Rovers.

Alex Revell notched both goals to see off Ronnie Moore’s side, who could have no complaints with the result.

The breakthrough came six minues before half time when Alex Revell applied a crisp finishing touch to Kieran Agard’s centre.

Either side of half time, a huge penalty appeal for a challenge on Kieran Agard were waved away and Wes Thomas contrived to miss when it looked easier to score.

However the lead was doubled midway through the second half when Revell seized upon a loose ball to lash in his second goal.

Substitute Andy Robinson’s late header’s set up a tense finish but it was too little and too late to deny the Millers.
