Respectful Warnock eyes safety

ROTHERHAM United aim to confirm their Championship survival against Huddersfield Town tonight with manager Neil Warnock seeing plenty of similarities between the two clubs.

Warnock managed the Terriers in the mid-1990s, winning promotion from what is now League One, and like the Millers they are now trying to establish themselves in the second tier.

In Dean Hoyle, he also sees a chairman who is similar to Rotherham's owner, Tony Stewart.

"I like Dean Hoyle," said Warnock. "He's a great chairman and he reminds me very much of a younger version of Tony Stewart. They are mad about their own club, they are totally honest and they expect everybody to give 100 per cent like they have. Rotherham and Huddersfield are lovely, family-orientated clubs."

Two points behind the Terriers, the Millers will be safe from relegation if they better MK Dons' result at Sheffield Wednesday tonight.

Lee Frecklington will have a fitness check today on his recurring calf injury and if he is OK then Rotherham could well field the starting 11 that stretched their unbeaten run to nine games with Saturday's 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest.

Kick-off is 7.45pm.
