Prescott back at Clifton Lane

TITANS have been given two massive eve-of-Christmas presents with Scottish toughie Ben Prescott back at Clifton Lane and injury victim Rob O’Donnell poised to make a return to full training.

It’s just the news head coach Andre Bester wanted to hear, solving his front-row problems after Anton O’Donnell broke an ankle in the final throes of Saturday’s British and Irish Cup defeat against Llandovery.

Following the injury, which will keep the Irishman out for ten weeks, Rotherham moved quickly to bring in Prescott. It’s just seven months since he left the club for Nottingham, subsequently moving to Leinster where he has struggled to break into Guy Easterby’s side.

That was followed by Rob O’Donnell’s return to light training as he continues his rapid recovery from a broken leg in September.

He is expected to make a first-team return before the end of next month.

Titans head to Doncaster this afternoon, weather permitting, in the British and Irish Cup (3pm).
