Penalty shoot-out agony for Millers
The teams were locked at 1-1 after extra time and then traded blows in the shoot-out before Mark Bradley hit the bar with the 14th penalty, the Millers missing out 7-6.
It was tough on Steve Evans’ men, who gave as good as they got against Steve Bruce’s Championship outfit.

Hide AdHull had the better of the first half and Cameron Stewart shook the woodwork with an angled drive before the Millers, growing in confidence, took the lead six minutes after the interval.
Kari Arnason and David Noble combined down the left and Noble’s pull-back was met by a perfectly executed first-time volley from substitute Lionel Ainsworth which crashed in off the crossbar.
There were chances at either end in an end-to-end second half, with Daniel Nardiello denied by a last-ditch clearance and Matty Fryatt bringing a full-length save from Scott Shearer, before substitute Aaron McLean scrambled in an equaliser on 70 minutes to send the tie into extra time.
Both teams had chances to win it after that. Fryatt blazed over from a good position and Ben Pringle did likewise before the penalty drama.
