Owen gets Titans' captaincy
ROTHERHAM Titans have named Will Owen as their captain for the forthcoming campaign – and coach Justin Burnell says he’s the perfect man for the job.
Owen, one of the nine players remaining from last term, was handed the captaincy ahead of Sunday’s Championship opener against London Welsh.
Said Burnell: “Will was the natural choice for us.
“He has all the right attributes and he will be a good leader on the field.

Hide Ad“We’re all looking forwards to Sunday and it’s the beginning of what will be an exciting season. London Welsh will be a big test for us because they’ve recruited well and are understandably up there with the favourites to win the title.”
Burnell will name his side tomorrow.
