OAKWOOD High’s proposed artificial hockey pitch — allowing the sport to be played more often in winter — has been approved.

The secondary school at Moorgate said the facility could be used by the community after school and at weekends.
The permission also includes lighting and mesh fencing for a section of the playing fields.
