Not good enough, says Raynor

ROTHERHAM United's assistant manager Paul Raynor criticised the players after last night's defeat to Rochdale.

The Millers suffered their first league loss at the New York Stadium, going down 3-2 after surrendering a 2-1 lead in the final stages.

Second-half headers from Alex Revell and substitute Daniel Nardiello cancelled out Dele Adebola's opener but a penalty from Bobby Grant and Kevin McIntyre's strike ten minutes from time earned Dale the points.

Raynor again took charge of the team in the absence of Steve Evans, serving the second of his six-match stadium ban. The number two said: "We're conceding far too many goals and we thought we'd eradicated that on Saturday but these were down to individual errors and that's just not good enough. We shouldn't have to score four goals to win a game at home.

"Maybe they think they had only to turn up to beat Rochdale. It doesn't happen like that. You should be able to play at a high tempo for 90 minutes and until we do that we're going to have inconsistency."

The result left the Millers tenth in League Two and with three defeats from the last four in all competitions.

They go to bottom-of-the-table Barnet on Saturday.
