Newell backs Millers trio

MIDFIELD ace Joe Newell is confident the new signings brought to the club by boss Steve Evans can help propel Rotherham United up the league table.

Tony Andreu and Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe have signed on loan from Premier League side Norwich City until January and for a month respectively, while experienced shot-stopper Lee Camp has arrived on a free transfer from Bournemouth.

And after all three made their debut in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Charlton Athletic,  the 22-year-old Newell – who signed from Peterborough in the summer – is certain they’ll make an impact on the squad.

He said: “The two new lads from Norwich (Tony Andreu and Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe) are here and we can all see their quality and Camp is a very experienced, quality keeper so it’s obviously good for the competition for places and we welcome them."
