Newcomer sees potential

NEW boy Shaun Harrad says he and Alex Revell can form a successful strike partnership at Rotherham United.

Playing together for the first time, both scored in Friday's 2-0 win at Southend United to get the Millers' League Two play-off bid back on track.

Debutant Harrad, in on loan for a month initially from Bury, insists fans have still to see the best of him and that he can work well with Revell, now on nine goals for the season.

He said: "There is more to come from us both. The understanding is there and there's a base to build on.

"There is quality throughout the side and I'm pleased to be part of it.

"That was my first game in two or three months and I was just delighted to get out on the pitch and to score just tops it off.

"Everyone was buzzing about the three points."

Now three points off seventh-place, the Millers can pull level on points with one of the teams above with victory at home to Accrington Stanley tomorrow night.

Added Harrad: "We have to look to Accrington now and do the same in front of our own fans."
