Milsom aims to stake a claim

ROTHERHAM United's Rob Milsom wants to muscle in on some Championship action this winter.

Milsom turned out 34 times for Rotherham last season and planned kicking on this term until an ankle injury stopped him in his tracks in pre-season.

Evans rates the midfield man a Championship performer and at 27 and back to fitness, the former Aberdeen man wants to prove it.

Milsom said: “Obviously we were all delighted to get the chance to play in the Championship and that's what I want to do as well. I want to prove I'm good enough to play in this league and impress the manager enough to get a start.

“As a player, you don't want to ever sit on the sidelines. I've got myself back involved lately so hopefully I'll get some more minutes in the coming weeks.”
