Millers striker completes move

ROTHERHAM United have agreed an undisclosed fee for the sale of Ryan Taylor to Bristol City.

The home-grown striker joins the Robins following the expiry of his deal with the Millers and the club has been able to negotiate significant compensation because he was under the age of 24.

The two parties have now agreed a deal, leaving chief operating officer Paul Douglas happy with the outcome.

"We have negotiated a good deal which we felt adequately compensated Rotherham United," he said.

"Although we were disappointed that Ryan decided to leave the club, we understood his desire to play at a higher level. Bristol City were very fair in their dealings with us and I wish Ryan all the best.

"As a Rotherham lad, he has been here since he was a schoolboy, ultimately graduating through our very successful youth system.

"On behalf of everyone associated with the club I would like to thank him for his effort, commitment and professionalism whilst he was a Rotherham United player and everyone at the club wishes him well for the future."
