Millers ready for Rovers

MANAGER Steve Evans wants no slacking if the Millers manage to get their game on against bottom-of-the-table Bristol Rovers tomorrow.

Relegation battlers Barnet won at the New York Stadium last time out and nudged Rotherham out of the automatic positions in League Two.

Victory tomorrow could lift them back up to third and Evans is keen that his players, who also have improving Northampton at home next Saturday, don't slip up against lowly opposition again.

Evans said: "We pre-warned the players about Barnet. One or two listened and one or two didn't. We'll be doing the same for this game because we know how tough it is going to be.

"We've got Bristol Rovers and Northampton at home and if we take six points we will be very much back in the frame for automatic promotion."

Evans will have new central defender Claude Davis available and is desperate to play after a weather-enforced break caused by the postponement of last week's match at Oxford.

The club is confident of action but are keeping an eye on the weather forecast, with more snow forecast for today.
