MANAGER Steve Evans says his players will be ready for they battle when they kick off the new year away to Rochdale tomorrow (3pm).

Rotherham could even break into the top three if they win at Spotland and other results go their way but Evans is taking it one step at a time.
"We're not going to get carried away because we know we will be walking into a minefield at Rochdale," he said.
"It's a strong test. They're a good side with good players and an experienced manager in John Coleman who I think will ultimately do what Keith Hill did there and get them promoted.
