Millers lose out at Wycombe

ROTHERHAM United slipped to a second successive defeat when they were beaten at League Two promotion rivals Wycombe Wanderers this afternoon

A header from veteran Gareth Ainsworth just before the half-hour mark earned the hosts a 1-0 win as the Millers were made to pay for a poor first-half performance.

Ronnie Moore’s side dominated the second half and Ryan Taylor had a header pushed onto the bar while Kevin Betsy hit the woodwork at the other end.

Millers midfielder Jason Taylor was sent off in injury time for kicking Wanderers’ Stuart Beavon.
