Defender Richard Brindley has joined League One outfit Colchester United until the end of the season while young goalkeeper Tony Thompson is off for a spell at Southport in the Conference. The club can recall both at short notice if required.

Experienced central defender Richard Wood is to stay at Crawley Town until the end of the campaign having had his loan spell extended. The emergency loans transfer window closed last night.

Rotherham are next in action next Friday at Birmingham City, where they will be looking to snap a run of three straight defeats, culminating in last weekend's agonising 3-2 loss to Sheffield Wednesday. Brighton are the visitors on Easter Monday. The Millers sit five points above the relegation zone with seven games to go.
