Millers fall to Daggers

ROTHERHAM United went down to their fourth defeat in five games when they were pipped 3-2 at Dagenham and Redbridge this afternoon.

The Millers dominated large sections of the contest but were foiled by a dogged home side and finished the game with ten men after defender Michael Raynes was dismissed late on for two yellow cards.

The first goal came on 28 minutes when captain for the day Danny Harrison, recalled to the side, lofted a shot over goalkeeper Chris Lewington.

Having been second best throughout the first half, the hosts equalised five minutes after the restart through Jon Nurse’s diving header.

Lifted by the goal, Dagenham then took a lead on 62 minutes in fortunate circumstances when Abu Ogogo’s shot deflected into the net off right-back Mark Bradley.

Within a minute the Millers were level as Scott Griffiths’ cross was headed in by Alex Revell and had more chances before being hit by the final sucker punch on 77 minutes via Scott Doe's flashing header.
