Griffiths (26) is primarily a left-back and made his name with Dagenham and Redbridge, where he made over 200 appearances in a six-year stint.

The former England C international said: "I got a call (from Andy Scott) and then I spoke to my agent and here I am.

"This season has been a bit of a journey for me. I started off training at Peterborough, then had a month loan at Crawley, then came back and had a month at Chesterfield.

"It would be nice to stay in one place now, which I had last year, because travelling up and down constantly can take its toll. It's good to have some stability."
