Millers braced for Stevenage test

MILLERS chief Ronnie Moore is warning his side to be ready for a battle at Stevenage tonight.

The conquerors of Newcastle United in the FA Cup have carved out a reputation as a big, strong and direct side and pushed Rotherham close in a 1-1 draw at Don Valley Stadium earlier in the season.

Rotherham need the points to maintain a top-three spot in League Two after after going three games without a win and Moore has told his players that they must be prepared for the type of challenge they will face.

He said: "I think Stevenage are one of the best teams to have played at our place this season.

"They're well-organised and strong and you can't afford to give away too many long throws against them. Our centre-halves (Nick Fenton and Johnny Mullins) are going to have to be dominant at set pieces

"They're going to be bigger than us but with our movement and pace we can trouble them in a different way."

Moore will be forced into at least one change from Saturday's defeat at Wycombe.

Jason Taylor's is suspended after being sent off at Adams Park and his place in central midfield will most likely be taken by Danny Harrison.

Kick-off is 7.45pm for what will be Rotherham's first ever visit to the Lamex Stadium.
