Millers boss refuses to give up the chase

ROTHERHAM United manager Ronnie Moore is refusing to give up on automatic promotion until it is mathematically impossible.

The Millers sit eight points behind third-placed Bournemouth in League Two with only three games left and must collect maximum points to stand any chance of overhauling them.

But with Rotherham to face the already safe trio of Barnet, Crewe and Hereford and Bournemouth contemplating a tougher run-in, Moore reckons all is not lost.

He said: "You look at it and Bournemouth are eight points clear with a better goal difference but they have some tough games. They've got Port Vale and Chesterfield to play. They are not easy games and anything can happen.

"Football can be a cruel game at times so until we're ten points away from them then we just have to keep going and believe we can do it."

The Millers begin their run-in at Barnet's sloping Underhill ground on Saturday where they have lost on their last four visits.
