Millers assess their options

ROTHERHAM United say a decision on a new manager will not necessarily be made this week.

The Millers have drawn up a shortlist of people who could potentially succeed Neil Warnock and conversations have already taken place.

More interviews are planned for later in the week and unless a deal is swiftly finalised,  it could be next week before the new man is properly in place.

Chief operating officer Paul Douglas told the Advertiser: "We seen some people, we've more to see and while I can't say it with 100 per cent certainty, I would be surprised if there is a decision between now and Friday.

"The chairman's conference in Portugal starts week beginning June 6 and we would certainly hope to have someone in situ before then."
