Maltby land Frickley in FA Cup

BATTLING Maltby Main are looking forward to a money-spinning FA Cup tie against Frickley Athletic after digging deep to come through the latest round.

The two meet at Muglet Lane next Saturday, with a place in the second qualifying round and £3,000 in prizemoney on offer to the winners.

Main have excelled in the competition so far, coming from 2-0 down to beat Ashton Athletic 3-2 in an extra preliminary round replay.

The last round took them all the way to Cheshire last Saturday to face 1874 Northwich and Main stunned their hosts by winning 2-1.

It will be the first time Maltby have played Frickley since they lost to them in the Sheffield and Hallamshire Cup a couple of years ago.
