Le Fondre strike rescues point

ADAM Le Fondre struck a late equaliser to rescue a point for Rotherham United against Barnet at Don Valley Stadium this afternoon.

The striker scored his fourth goal of the season nine minutes from time as the Millers twice came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw and maintain their unbeaten start in League Two

Clovis Kamdjo headed in a corner from Mark Marshall to give the visitors the lead after 36 minutes.

Troy Brown’s first goal since his summer move from Ipswich pulled the Millers level just after half time, the centre-half lashing in from a Danny Schofield corner.

The visitors re-took the lead from the penalty spot just after the hour mark. Captain for the day Michael Raynes was adjudged to have fouled Izale McLeod in the penalty area and the striker picked himself up to drill in  the spot-kick.

Brown popped up with a vital block on the line to prevent McLeod making it 3-1 and  Mark Bradley hit the bar at the other end before Le Fondre drilled through the legs of goalkeeper Dean Brill to level the scores.
