Kelly to stay with Millers

DEFENDER Stephen Kelly has followed Kirk Broadfoot and Richard Wood in agreeing a new deal with Rotherham United.

The Republic of Ireland international has penned a one-year contract and manager Alan Stubbs is happy to retain the services of a player who came to the fore during the late-season revival under his predecessor Neil Warnock.

"We know how important his role was towards the back end of last season," Stubbs told the club's website.

"After speaking with him, and the likes of Kirk Broadfoot, we are delighted to be in a position to announce that they have re-signed and that they are now looking forward to the upcoming season."

The Millers squad report back for pre-season training tomorrow.
