Carl was in Brook's corner for the 29th time last weekend to see him overpower his arch rival in front of a packed house at the Manchester Arena.

Rotherham's Carl is the gym manager at the legendary Ingle gym where Brook learned his craft and witnessed him win a world welterweight title against Shawn Porter eight years ago.
But last weekend topped the lot.
“It is difficult to surpass winning the world title in America,” he said. “At the time Porter was seen as the mini Mike Tyson and Kell wasn't expected to beat him.

“Kell wanted the Shawn Porter fight because he wanted a world title. He wanted Amir Khan because it seals his legacy."

The night wasn't without controversy, with a dispute over Brook's gloves delaying the start.

“When I'm actually working, my job isn't to entertain myself watching the fight because I've got a ringside seat,” he said.
“I'm there to do a job of work, so I don't really watch the fight on the night.

“All due to respect to Amir Khan. First, for taking the fight and secondly for showing real heart.
“He got hit with some big shots early on and he still hung in there and fought back and I thought 'you know what? I really like you. He's a nice guy.' All that other stuff that comes over is a bit of an act.'”

Hide AdWhile Khan has hinted at the retirement, Brook, who turns 36 this year, has hinted the fight might not be his last.
Added Carl: “He needs to clear his head for a couple of weeks but there is a good chance I would say that we have not seen the end of Kell Brook.”
