Jones' praise for victorious Titans

TITANS coach Mark Jones gave his side a big pat on the back after their stunning second half performance against London Welsh.

The Clifton Lane men won 32-16, scoring 23 unanswered second half points to card their fifth Championship win.

And Jones was delighted, especially with the mental strength shown after the previous week's beating at Bedford.

"The guys showed a real physical attitude in the first half to keep it to a seven-point deficit against a very good London Welsh team," said Jones.

"Then we knew exactly what we needed to do in the second half. I thought our running and kicking game was excellent.

"It was a well-rounded performance and I was particularly pleased for the players."

Titans had tries from Sean Scanlon and Ben Rath plus 22 points from the boot of Ross Jones.
