Jones delight at Titans' win

COACH Mark Jones was delighted with Titans' 17-11 win at Nottingham's Lady Bay ground - which reinforced his side's credentials as top-four aspirants.

Two converted tries from Aussie Tim Cree, plus a Ross Jones penalty were enough to keep the Clifton Lane men in fifth after a weekend of crazy results - including Doncaster's thumping win at Bristol - left them three points behind fourth-placed Bedford, who themselves nicked a win against Leeds in the final seconds of their game.

It was Jones' sixth win of the season - and probably their best effort to date against a Nottingham side with three successful wins under their belts.

"I was very pleased with 60 minutes of that game. We started slowly but then we were really good, especially with the rolling maul which brought us two tries," he said.

"To come to a place like this against a team that really was on a roll is a big result for us."
