Jamie Brayshaw stars at the Silverstone Festival
The commentator at Silverstone could not stop mentioning the close race between these two competitors, though Jackson just managed to hold Brashaw off into fifth with hardly any space between the two cars over the finishing line.
On the Sunday these two were at it again with some very close racing and brilliant driving, though the result was just the same as the previous race.

Hide AdBrashaw was taking part in the Brian Henton classic for Formula 3.
The usual stars were seen driving to the chequered flag in Simon Hadfield and Gary Pearson, long-time competitors of classic car racing. A name that has been well known throughout, Wizzo Williams, was taking part in a Bond Formula Junior. The Formula Junior races had no less than 50 on the grid.
One of the highlights of the classic this year was the display of more than 150 Mustangs, and they treated the crowds to a tour of the Silverstone track.
On the Mustang stand was a beautiful Mustang plane, the P-51D, and the crowds were treated to two Mustangs giving an exciting performance in the air. People will remember that the Mustang was a great supporter of the famous British Spitfire.

Hide AdIn the classic saloon car racing some very familiar names appeared with Colin Turkington, who is at present the leading driver in the British Touring Car Championship, driving a BMW CSL, and former champion John Clelland driving a Vauxhall Vectra.
There are always some competitors who seem to stream away from the start and put a monumental distance between them and second place. In this case it was Sean McInerney, driving a TVR Griffith, and Bob Berridge, driving a Mercedes CE11 in the Group C endurance race.
A serious incident in the classic formula one race on the Sunday caused the sad loss of Denis Welch, driving his Lotus 18 375, who crashed and later died in the circuit’s medical centre.
