'I am what I am' says Stubbs

MILLERS boss Alan Stubbs has hit back over criticism of his low-key touchline demeanour, saying: “I am who I am.”

Some fans have criticised Stubbs for a perceived lack of passion – including not clapping supporters at the full-time whistle.

But the former Hibernian manager doesn't think it has any bearing on results.

He said: “I’m me, I’m not one to run up to fans when we win, I’m not one to do it when we lose.

“I heard that one of the potential reasons we weren’t winning was because I wasn’t standing up in the dugout. I’ve stood up in the dugout and we’ve lost.

“If it meant us winning I’d do somersaults, I’d do anything, but I’m afraid that’s not the solution.

“I am what I am. I’m not one of those managers who rants and raves on the touchline."
