Guy stars as Town win again

STUART Guy struck an unbeaten 79 as in-form Rotherham Town chalked up a seventh straight win in the Yorkshire League away to Sheffield United on Saturday.

Guy's fine knock helped the Clifton Lane outfit to 184-3 after bowling out the hosts for 181 at Bawtry Road.

Ben Sanderson and Yorkshire player Gurman Randhawa took three wickets apiece while Gerhard Rudolph provided strong support to Guy with 63.

The win keeps Town on the heels of Cleethorpes and leaders York in the league table ahead of two successive home games this weekend, at home to Appleby Frodingham on Saturday and Sheffield Collegiate on Sunday.
