Great night for Millers
Goals in each half from Shaun Harrad, on his debut, and Alex Revell sealed a deserved three points for a disciplined performance from Andy Scott’s men.
Harrad, fresh in on loan from Bury, fired in from the edge of the penalty area after only nine minutes to open the scoring in freezing conditions.

Hide AdThe Millers had to do a lot of defending to hold onto their lead up to half time, with Rhys Taylor saving well from Ryan Hall and Sam Wood clearing off the line in a goalmouth scramble.
Southend were never allowed to dominate as much after the break and Lewis Grabban, dropped to the subs’ bench for Harrad, came on and sliced a decent chance wide before the contest was finally settled on 82 minutes.
Revell, playing against his former club, picked up a loose ball and advanced to shoot in off the goalkeeper’s right-hand post and cap a great night.
The win lifted the Millers to within three points of the League Two play-off frame ahead of tomorrow's fixtures.
