Goodison digs deep
GRITTY Paul Goodison won’t give up the battle to retain his Olympic Laser crown – but knows he’s going to have to dig deeper than ever.
The Rotherham sailor sits sixth in the standings in Weymouth after a tough start to his quest, which included damaging his back on Monday.
The 34-year-old was able to take to the water on Tuesday again after intense physio.

Hide AdThe Briton scored a fourth and a ninth to climb from 12th to sixth but is still well adrift of the top three as competition resumed today.
Goodison said: “Obviously I feel pretty disappointed with how the regatta’s started but that’s all behind me now. "
