Frustration as Millers lose

MANAGER Andy Scott insists Rotherham United were unlucky to lose at Cheltenham Town last night.

Marlon Pack’s crisp 25-yard strike after only ten minutes settled it as the Millers missed a chance to close the gap on the League Two play-off places against a Robins side now unbeaten in eight league games.

Substitute Brett Williams went closest for Scott’s men with a late header which brought a flying save from Scott Brown. Jimmy Spencer hit the post for the home team in the second half.

Scott said: “They’re organised and they’ve got some good players but I still fancied us to win. I’m still disappointed we didn’t and how we haven’t got anything is frustrating because we should have got at least got a point.

“The keeper's made a fantastic save from Brett Williams; we've put the ball in some good areas, had plenty of the ball, but haven't put it in the net. We've got to keep believing. They're a good side and I think we've probably shown them how good we are."

The 1-0 defeat means the Millers have taken only one point from six from the festive programme so far. Still 11th in the league table before today's round of fixtures, they host lowly Yorkshire rivals Bradford City on Monday (3pm).
