VIKTOR Johansson has reassured fans that has no wish to seek a move away from Rotherham United.

The Swedish shot-stopper, nicknamed ‘Viking’ by supporters who have taken him to their hearts in time at AESSEAL New York Stadium, has revealed his special affinity with the club.

“I really like it here,” said the former Aston Villa and Leicester City youngster. “ When they took me in nearly three years ago it was like walking into my own family.

“I’ve never felt this much at home in England. My missus loves it, my family love it when they come over.”

Johansson, who signed a new two-and-a-half deal in January, has been arguably the best goalkeeper in the Championship this season.

There might have been a chance of him leaving this summer had the Millers slipped back into League One but that prospect has faded now that they have sealed their second-tier status for another season.

“It was nice to get the contract over the line,” he said. “I’ve still got two years left on that deal. That’s what I focus on. I want to play for this club.”
