UPDATED: Millers' 2016/17 fixtures released

ROTHERHAM United start their 2016/17 Championship campaign with an attractive home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

And that opener on August 6 is followed by a cracking first away game the following Saturday when the Millers go to Aston Villa, fresh down from the Premier League.

Alan Stubbs' side are on the road again a few days later, facing a long Tuesday night trip to Brighton for the second year running.

There's an early local derby with Barnsley at Oakwell on August 27 and Newcastle United are in town on October 1.

Boxing Day sees a home date with newly-promoted Wigan.

The season ends with a home date with Derby County.
