The January message Rotherham United are receiving from Manchester United about Dan Gore
ROTHERHAM United remain optimistic that loan hit Dan Gore will see out the season at AESSEAL New York and that the changes at his parent club won't lead to a recall.
The young Manchester United midfielder has been arguably the Millers' best performer so far in their League One campaign and has embraced the prospect of remaining in South Yorkshire.

But the sacking of manager Ruben Amorim has altered the landscape at Old Trafford, adding to the fears that the 21-year may be heading back to his Premier League employers in the January transfer window.
Rotherham boss Matt Hamshaw has eased the concern to a degree by revealing that the message coming from the Red Devils is that they are content to leave Gore where he is.
“I hope Dan is staying,” he said. ”That's kind of what I'm hearing at the minute.
“However, they've had a managerial change. That can sometimes affect things. You haven't got to be a rocket scientist to see that Man United have got loads of injuries at this moment and they've got young players on the bench. It'd be really easy to put two and two together.
“Dan's happy here, he wants to stay and play games here.”
In his first year of senior football, Gore has made 29 appearances, although he may not add to that figure at Bradford City tomorrow as he is struggling with a groin issue.
Hamshaw would love to retain the player's services but acknowledges that the final decision isn't his.
“It's in Man United's hands, not mine or Dan's,” he said. “So we have to make plans for the worst while also hoping for the best. Dan's done really well for us this season.”
