MILLERS players are enjoying getting some sun on their backs at their warm weather training camp in Cyprus.

After a week chilling at home, the first team squad jetted off to work up a sweat under the watchful eye of Matt Taylor and his coaching staff.

“It's not only about the football, it's about the social aspect as well,” said Taylor.

“We're getting a little bit of team bonding and getting to know the players a bit more and how they work on the training pitch because that time has been so sporadic during my time here.

“A change of scenery helps and freshens you up a little bit.”

The group includes injured wing back Peter Kioso, still wearing a boot to protect an aggravated ankle injury.

“We ummed and ahhed about whether to bring him or not but we wanted him here for team morale, plus we can assess his progress,” said Taylor.

“He's going to remain in that boot for the next week or so and then we'll get a real scan and a sign as to his progress when we get back.

“It's a real shame because he was showing signs why Rotherham signed him during teh off season.

“Its difficult one because he has re-injured that ankle but we'll support him in whatever comes next and hopefully the recovery period isn't as long as in the past.”
