Quina, born in Guinea-Bissau, came through West Ham United's youth set-up before Watford paid £1 million for his services in 2018.

He has since made 37 appearances for the Hornets in the Premier League and Championship, scoring three goals, and spent the second half of last season in the second tier with Barnsley for whom he hit the target twice in 16 appearances.

This term, he has played for Elche against Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Rotherham's only major loss of the window, which closes this evening at 11pm, has been playmaker Dan Barlaser who has joined Middlesbrough.
