Scottish Millers fan travelling to first NYS game this weekend reveals: "It's all down to the Chuckle Brothers"

A MILLERS fan whose love of the club was inspired by the Chuckle Brothers is travelling hundreds of miles to attend his first ever game at the New York Stadium this weekend.

Ryan Munro (26, pictured) lives in the Scottish town of Buckie — midway between Aberdeen or Inverness — but has followed the Millers' fortunes from almost 400 miles away since he was a teenager.

He will finally take in his first Rotherham United game in the flesh at this Saturday’s home clash against Huddersfield Town — and he can’t wait.

“I’m really looking forward to it,” said Ryan, who has a seat in the west stand.

“Hopefully, I’ll be able to come back to more games in the future.”

Ryan, who is also a Buckie Thistle fan, added: “I follow my local team closely but for this weekend I’ll be heading down to Rotherham on the Friday night ready for the game on Saturday morning.

“Here’s hoping I can be a lucky charm for the team.

“I’m excited but nervous for my trip to Rotherham.

“It’s the first time I’ve really ventured anywhere myself.

“I did try to get some friends with me but Rotherham didn’t appeal to them.”

“I’ll keep trying in the future though.”

Ryan said it was “through my love of the Chuckle Brothers” that his fandom had begun, adding: “The episode of football heroes sticks out for me. RIP Barry, of course.”
