Robertson injury blow for Millers

ROTHERHAM United defender Clark Robertson has been ruled out for up to two months with a groin injury.

Manager Paul Warne delivered the news after yesterday’s 1-0 victory over Derby.

Robertson, the summer signing from Blackpool, had been expected to deputise for another injury absentee, Sean Raggett, in central defence against the Rams. Raggett himself has been ruled out for three to four months after fracturing his ankle at Wigan just before the international break.

The loss of the pair leaves the Millers short of centre-halves. Skipper Richard Wood and Semi Ajayi, successfully trialled as a defensive midfielder this season, partnered each other yesterday.

Warne said: “Clark has done his groin and I don’t think we will see him for six to eight weeks, that’s on top of Sean Raggett being out.

“We will have to re-jiggle the pack possibly. The back four were good against Derby but they do a lot of work at this club so it would be nice if I had other options.”
