OFFICIAL: Stubbs is new Millers boss

ROTHERHAM United have today confirmed that Hibernian boss Alan Stubbs has taken over as the club's new manager, signing a three year deal.
Stubbs (44) replaces Neil Warnock in the hot-seat and is expected to be unveiled to the press at 12pm on Thursday.

We broke the news yesterday afternoon that a deal had been reached between Millers chairman Tony Stewart and Stubbs and only the compensation package was left to agree between the two clubs.

The compensation package is believed to be worth around £120,000 and also includes an agreement for Stubbs' right-hand-man, John Doolan to join him at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.

Stubbs led the Edinburgh outfit to the Scottish Cup just 10 days ago, but failed in his two seasons at Easter Road to get the Championship side promoted to the Scottish Premiership, despite going close both times.

The former Everton, Sunderland and Bolton defender also has a 59 per cent win ratio from his two years north of the border.

We'll be live from the press conference, so keep your eyes on our website and Twitter (@rothtisersport) for updates thorughout the day.
