Odejayi signs in

Rotherham United have signed striker Kayode Odejayi from League One Colchester United–and there could be more signings on the way.

Odejayi has just enjoyed a successful season with the Essex club, winning the supporters Player of the Year award.

Returning to South Yorkshire having previously had a spell with Barnsley, the powerful 6ft 3ins powerful  has been on Steve Evans’ wanted list since he arrived at the club.

Daniel Nardiello became the first signing last Thursday when he joined from Exeter City and the Millers are also chasing more recruits, having this week had an undisclosed bid for Peterborough full-back Mark Little turned down.

It was third time lucky on Nardiello as Evans had had two previous approaches for the 29-year-old former Manchester United youngster turned down during his time in charge at Crawley.

Nardiello, also formerly at Oakwell, has agreed a two-year deal.
