'More sales, better striker' ... Tony Stewart and Steve McClaren deliver messages on eve of Rotherham United season-ticket launch
ROTHERHAM United's suffering supporters are being urged to buy season tickets to help the club sign the players who can spark a revival at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
After three difficult years that have brought two relegations, the Millers will start out next term as a League Two outfit for the first time in well over a decade.

Rotherham have reduced the price of their season tickets by 10 per cent and they go on sale to existing holders tomorrow.
Chairman Tony Stewart says he's ready to provide a competitive budget in the fourth tier and is calling on fans to help increase the amount of money available for recruitment by renewing their New York seats.
“It's two-way this,” he said. “I need people to buy season tickets. The more season tickets you can sell, the better striker you can get. The bigger crowds we get at Rotherham, the more we can spend.”
In League Two, player-related expenditure is capped at 50 per cent of a club's turnover.
Stewart was speaking at last week's press conference to unveil former England boss Steve McClaren as head of football, a role created by the Millers as they seek to modernise their footballing model.
The chairman later issued another message on Rotherham's website as the new pricing structure was announced.
“This club has suffered from turbulent financial times in its history, and I vow that I will never let it do so again,” he said. “We will back Steve, the new head coach and the recruitment staff by ensuring they have the best possible budget for the division, but it will continue to be done on a sensible level that doesn't threaten the existence of this wonderful community institution.”
McClaren is being allowed to decide on the next head coach - expected to be former Ian Burchnall, formerly of Notts County and Forest Green Rovers - who should be in place shortly.
He backed the chairman's stance, saying: “We need a lot of help. I'd stress to the public and businesses in Rotherham that this is a time when people need to help us as much as we want to help them. We're crying out for help in any way.
“We're not going to be the richest; we've got to make the most of what we have. People in the town - Rotherham supporters and businesses - can help to support the club and help us to build something .
“We need supporters to buy season tickets, to commit to that. For me, that's a big message. To the supporters who are disillusioned at the moment with what is happening, just have an act of faith and commit to buying a season ticket.”
The cheapest adult season ticket in the North Stand for renewals is now £405 while in the East and West Stands the figure is £440.
New season tickets in those areas will be £445 and £485 when they go on sale late next month.
Last season, Rotherham's prices were among the highest in League One.
