Millers sink City
A 19th minute goal from loan man Haris Vuckic, his first for the club, secured a 1-0 victory at Valley Parade which stretches the Millers’ unbeaten league run to eight games.
The striker produced the one moment of true quality in a frantic first half to hand Rotherham their sixth straight win against City. Lee Frecklington broke from midfield and the ball was worked wide by Kieran Agard for Vuckic to clip a delightful effort over goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin and into the far corner of the net.

Hide AdAfter the injured scorer was substituted at half time, his Newcastle United clubmate James Tavernier twice brought the best out of McLaughlin and put a great chance over the bar as the Millers got on top.
Frecklington also zipped a shot just wide from an acute angle while City were restricted to precious few chances. Garry Thompson had a close-range shot saved by Adam Collin late in the first period but the Rotherham stopper was hardly tested in the second half as his team-mates closed out a terrific victory in front of a bumper festive crowd of more than 18,000.
