Millers rank low for Twitter followers

ROTHERHAM United are the Championship club with the fewest Twitter followers according to research by Sky Sports released today.

The Millers came 72nd out of 92 teams published with 31k followers on Twitter, in a table that includes non-league clubs and three women’s sides.

Non-leaguers FC United of Manchester (58.7k), Hyde (39.4k) and Salford City (31.2k) all finished above the Millers.

Top of the leader board are Premier League heavyweights Arsenal (6.16m) closely followed by Chelsea (5.94m) in second and Manchester United (5.78m) in third.

The only non-Premier League clubs to appear in the top 20 are Championship duo QPR in 15th (288k), and Fulham in 17th (260k).

Several women's teams made the top 92. Arsenal Ladies were 28th, with 124k followers, Chelsea Ladies 38th with 79.3k followers and Liverpool Ladies 49th with 50.7k followers.
