Jamie Lindsay back in Rotherham United frame as Ollie Rathbone and Ben Wiles become fitness concerns

INJURIES to two of his teammates could offer Jamie Lindsay a route back into Rotherham United's starting 11.

The midfield man has been out of the squad for the last three Championship matches after suffering a face wound in an outing for the reserves.

He is now available for selection again and his prospects of game-time at Coventry City on Tuesday night have increased after fellow midfielders Ollie Rathbone and Ben Wiles had to substituted against Hull City yesterday.

"On the back of Ollie's complaint and possibly Ben's, Jamie has a really good chance moving forward," manager Matt Taylor said.

"He's missed a little bit of time but with it being a facial injury he hasn't missed physical training time. It hasn't been a strain or a muscle problem. He'll come back into the fold."

Rathbone and Wiles both have tendon issues.

"Ollie has got a complaint relating to his hamstring. It's down to the amount of games he plays and the amount of effort he puts into every one of them. Ben's got something similar with his groin.

"It's a shame when the physio says to you you're probably best bringing off one if not both of them."

The pair will be assessed tomorrow morning

Speaking after the Hull match, Taylor said: "It's too soon to say if they'll be okay for Coventry. A two-day turnaround might be too quick.

"If that's the case, it will be an opportunity for different bodies, a different unit, to come into the team and try to affect a game in a positive manner.

Lindsay had been given the medical all-clear for the Hull fixture but the boss chose to keep faith with the matchday 18 that had won so memorably at Stoke City in midweek.

Other midfield options for Tuesday are Hakeem Odoffin and Scott High, both of whom came off the bench against the Tigers.
