Chiedozie Ogbene bids farewell to Rotherham United as Luton Town win the battle to sign him

The Republic of Ireland was a wanted man as he came to the end of his four-year Millers contract and has chosen Kenilworth Road as his next destination.
Rotherham, after securing their Championship survival, had made Ogbene the best offer they could but always knew they were fighting a losing battle to keep him.

The 26-year-old made 136 appearances for the Millers, scoring 14 goals, and his searing pace made him a huge asset.
He arrived in South Yorkshire in 2019 as an unknown from Brentford but blossomed under then-manager Paul Warne and went on to earn international honours.
Ogbene played his part in two League One promotions and helped to keep the club in the second tier last term. He was injured for much of the 2020/21 campaign when the Millers were relegated from the Championship.

He leaves with all the best wishes and thanks from everyone at Rotherham United."
