Boss Matt Taylor ready for some 'no' answers in Rotherham United new-deal talks

BOSS Matt Taylor has admitted for the first time that he expects some of the Rotherham United players offered new contracts to reject the club’s attempt to keep them at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

The Millers are deep in negotiations with five first-teamers whose deals are due to expire in the summer and want answers by the New Year.

“There is movement but nothing concrete as yet,” Taylor said. “We’re getting closer and closer to that January window opening.

“We hope to have some positive news before that.

Playmaker Dan Barlaser has confirmed he has been offered fresh terms and the others are thought to be attacker Chiedozie Ogbene, midfield man Ben Wiles, defender Wes Harding and goalkeeper Viktor Johansson.
